December 2007 News

I can't believe it is almost the end of the year already. So much has
happened in my life personally as well as with the store. I am so thankful
to say that my husband has been fully recovered from his bypass surgery for
a few months now and has turned into an exercise fiend and low-fat diet
guru! I am the one who is the dietitian and it feels strange to not have to
be on him about his diet! Anyway, we are fortunate to have him here and know
that 2008 will be even a better year.
The store move went well this past summer and we are settled in our new
spot. We love it. It is just cozier all around with the coffee shop next
door, and seeing people sit outside all day. Our customer's love cropping
and being able to go next door for their coffee fix!
Many have asked when our next extended crop is and we are happy to report
that our 24-hour Winter Slumber Crop begins at 10am on Saturday, January 19,
2008. We already have sign-ups and there are still spots left. We've done an
all night crop before, years ago, but this time we'll be doing it in our
jammies with catered lunch, dinner & breakfast - you never have to leave!
This 24-hour crop marathon will be fun and I know there are die-hard
scrappers out there just itching to stay up all night to scrapbook and spend
time with friends. I know I'm looking forward to it!
As the year winds down, we have been busy planning some great new events for
2008! TM has been open for over 10 years and we feel like we have done every
kind of event imaginable - well almost! We are in the process of finalizing
a Scrapbook Weekend Retreat at the Renaissance Hotel in Agoura Hills. Check
your calendar for the weekend of April 11-13 and plan on attending one of
the biggest scrapbook events of the year! More details will be announced in
early January.
On June 6, 2008, we have a book signing and lecture scheduled with Stacy
Julian (from Simple Scrapbooks Magazine) so you won't want to miss that! We
are also looking forward to our Fall Bus Tour with Collective Journey in
Redlands and Scrappin' Good Times in San Dimas. We will have a specific date
sometime after the New Year.
So as you can see, we are hard at work bringing you new and rewarding events
and we are looking forward to sharing them with you! We wish everyone a
great holiday season. Enjoy spending time with family and friends and of
course eating all that wonderful holiday food!
Happy Scrapbooking.
